Yoga

In yoga we take Prananyama to increase the flow of lifeforce, Meditation to cultivate awareness, and Asana to uncover greatness physically, mentally, and spiritually. Classes take place from Monday to Friday, plus there are regular workshops, retreats and exciting yoga events available to book all year round. One to one sessions also available.

Pilates

Strengthen your core muscles and enhance your posture with Pilates, a slow controlled form of exercise suitable for any mobility, fitness and age. Pilates improves suppleness and flexibility, and is particularly beneficial to those overcoming back, knee and hip problems. Custom one to one, and small group sessions for you and your friends available.

Thai Yoga Massage & Training

Thai Yoga Massage is like a rhythmic dance between giver and receiver, an exchange of energy that leaves the receiver feeling freedom in their physical body. Thai Yoga Massage can restore your vitality, and give you an energetic boost. You can either book in for a massage, or learn this amazing skill for yourself on a certified 5 day Thai Yoga Massage Training course.

Yoga Mentorship Programme

I have seen many of my students go on to do teacher trainings, and I will soon be starting my own Teacher Training Program at Same Star Yoga.

To support this, I also wanted to offer a mentorship platform for students wanting a little extra support as they embark on the journey of turning their passion in to heartfelt yet sustainable careers.  

The Mentorship programme is a deep excavation of the self over six one-to-one sessions to enable you to create your bigger picture and begin to take the next steps needed towards that vision.

Kirtan

This active meditation is a journey to opening your heart, it plugs us into deeper spheres of our existence, being in a state of awe and from that place our perspective shifts, we begin to see the bigger picture, we begin to realise our interconnectedness with all things and so therefore have a better ability to carry that out into our daily lives, our working life, our relationships with other people, how we relate to other animals, to mother earth and ultimately all of existence. 

Kirtan Brings Us Closer To Open-Heartedness

Many of us have the perception that we can’t sing, we all have a primordial sound longing to be heard it’s just for some of us ‘life’s conditioning’ has got in the way.  Just the one comment “you can’t sing” from someone, is imprint enough for us to lock our voices away.

The lotus flower is often used as a metaphor for the heart each petal seen as a different Bhava (mental/emotional state)

Singing is the key to unfurling many of the different lotus petal flowers, bringing us closer to a state of open-heartedness.
