Moving through all the components that will enable you to access Pincha Mayurasna (Feathered Peacock Pose)
The peacock is a fierce fighter, and is said to be able to strike fear in to the heart of a venomous snake.
Symbolising the conquering of death, the peacock ingests the powerful poison of the snake, transforming it in to lightness and power
Pincha Mayurasana (feathered peacock pose) is a forearm balance that requires a combination of those exact two qualities, lightness and power. We move through all of the components that will enable you access this pose on the mat on the day assisted, but eventually on the mat alone through a persistent effort/non attachment to outcome home practice. (Just in time for our Feet Up August Challenge)
We reflect that notion moving into (pincha mayurasana) feathered peacock pose with fearlessness, so that we are better able to (over time) digest food but also digest life’s difficult situations and relationships, transforming any negativity in the world around us into beauty remembering everything as grace.
